On 7 October 2026, a transnational project meeting of AI4VET – Transforming Vocational Education Through AI and Future Classroom Labs, an Erasmus+ project, was held in Warsaw, Poland. The meeting brought together representatives of all five partner organisations from Poland, Austria, Romania, Croatia and Lithuania, including a representative of Public Open University Čakovec.
The meeting was hosted by the Polish project coordinator, Sysco Polska, and focused on reviewing progress, developing new educational materials and tools, and planning the next stages of project implementation.
The partners analysed the results of piloting two previously developed project resources: the Edu-AI Tools Navigator, which introduces artificial intelligence tools and their potential applications in education, and the EDU-AI Toolkit, a practical guide for educators on integrating AI into teaching, learning and assessment. Feedback from pilot participants indicated a high level of satisfaction, and the partners agreed on final improvements before the official publication of the materials.
Particular attention was given to the activities of Work Package 3 (WP3), coordinated by Public Open University Čakovec. This work package includes the development of a practical manual for vocational education and training (VET) institutions and learner-centred lesson plan templates, including ten adaptable lesson plan examples. The aim is to provide educators with practical guidance on the responsible and pedagogically meaningful use of artificial intelligence, while addressing issues such as data protection, accessibility and academic integrity.
The partners also discussed the development of the Intelligent Empowerment Tutor, a multilingual digital tool designed to help educators assess their readiness to integrate AI into their teaching practices and receive personalised recommendations and relevant educational resources. The development of this tool is also coordinated by Public Open University Čakovec.
During the meeting, the partners agreed on the next steps in developing and testing the project results, as well as activities related to project management, evaluation and dissemination. Their continued collaboration aims to develop practical and accessible solutions that will help educators and learners use artificial intelligence effectively and responsibly in vocational education and training.
The AI4VET project is co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ Programme (KA220-VET – Cooperation Partnerships in Vocational Education and Training).
