About
The New Education With Success (NEWS) project was successfully implemented from September 1, 2019, to August 31, 2022. The project aimed to introduce innovative ways for adult educators to reach out to young and adult learners in topics such as media, critical thinking, and languages. It also focused on the inclusion and reintegration of young people on the pathway toward employment and further education, eventually becoming adult educators themselves. The project involved a consortium of partners from Estonia, Slovakia, Croatia, Lithuania, Germany, and Spain, who worked together to identify the needs of existing adult trainers and educators, develop an online e-Learning Toolkit for incorporating critical thinking into language, ICT, and media syllabuses, and create an online manual for training new educators. The project also included targeted courses to enable adult educators to support and improve the skills of new adult educators, with the goal of increasing participation of younger people in the labor market and education through up-skilling existing adult educators in effective engagement methodologies.
