About
The project aimed to develop digital literacy skills of Roma teaching assistants to empower them to transfer knowledge to Roma primary school pupils for effective distance learning. Partners from Slovenia, Croatia, and North Macedonia collaborated to research needs, design training materials and an online platform. Questionnaires and interviews were conducted to analyze the current state of Roma pupils’ digital skills. A training program and curriculum were developed for Roma teaching assistants. An online platform with tailored content and tools was created. Pilot trainings upskilled assistants to use the platform for teaching pupils. Multiplier events engaged schools and Roma NGOs. Overall, the project fostered digital inclusion of disadvantaged Roma children during the pandemic distance learning challenges.
