This week, the partners of the project “Raising Awareness for a Greener Tomorrow” 2023-1-HR01-KA210-ADU-000155794 gathered at the first transnational meeting in Čakovec! The aim of this Erasmus+ project is to empower individuals and communities with the necessary knowledge, skills and tools to make the future as green as possible.
Representatives from Croatia (lead partner GKP ČAKOM and partner Public Open University Čakovec), Slovenia (partner People’s University Lendava) and North Macedonia (partner Lifelong University Vanco Prke) during the meeting focused on planning and implementing initial project activities: conducting research on environmental education and waste management practices in partner countries and developing a website and an interactive tool to promote sustainable practices. During the meeting, we also planned an exchange of good practices and a visit to a local utility company. As part of this, we visited the landfill and sorting plant in Totovac, where we saw first-hand and learned the ways in which GKP ČAKOM works and contributes to environmental protection.
