About
The successfully implemented project titled “Raising Competences: Better Teachers – Better Education” led to an improvement in the quality of education at Pučko otvoreno učilište Čakovec. The project enabled staff members to participate in a course on alternative methodologies tailored to the needs of students from vulnerable groups. Through active learning, informal work methods, and interactive learning, participants gained knowledge about different approaches to inclusion, tolerance, and diversity, and learned how to identify and understand the needs of vulnerable learners. During the project, teachers improved their intercultural competences, understanding of ethnocentrism, racism, discrimination, and segregation, and developed empathy and active listening skills. The project contributed to reducing the rate of early school leaving and promoting equality and non-discrimination among students
