Last week, we participated in the kick-off meeting for the CLEAR-PC: Cancer Literacy Education and Awareness Resources for Prostate Care project.
The project addresses the key issue of low health literacy in the prevention and care of prostate cancer patients. POU Čakovec is the lead partner in the work package focused on evaluating the educational context for developing health literacy among both healthcare staff and the general population.
The topic of health literacy and the analysis of educational approaches are not new to us. We successfully addressed them in the Erasmus+ project Help to Opportunities, which was awarded the European Innovative Teaching Award for its work on health literacy within the Roma community.
We look forward to sharing our experience and knowledge with the rest of the consortium and contributing to the development of the CLEAR-PC strategy for more effective awareness-raising on the importance of informed decision-making in the prevention, screening, and treatment of prostate cancer.
