Last week, representatives of the Public Open University Čakovec (POU Čakovec) participated in the first working meeting within the Erasmus+ AI4VET project, held in Vienna. The meeting gathered all project partners with the goal of strategic planning and agreeing on the initial steps for implementing project activities that will define our work over the next two years.
Development of the AI Tool Navigator for Vocational Education
The central theme of the meeting was the development of the project’s first key result – the AI Tool Navigator. This digital resource is designed to introduce users to a carefully curated selection of approximately 20 AI-powered tools, specifically intended to improve educational processes within the Vocational Education and Training (VET) system.
Through a co-creation process, the partners defined five main categories of tools and created a preliminary list of those to be included in the final version. The Navigator will be publicly available on the official project website in the coming months, serving as a practical guide for teachers and educators.
Announcement of Training in Čakovec
The second key agenda item was the finalization of the five-day training program titled “Generative Artificial Intelligence and Transformative Educational Content.” We are pleased to announce that POU Čakovec will host this training, which will take place next month in Čakovec. The goal of the training is to empower participants with practical knowledge on the application of generative AI technology in creating contemporary teaching materials.
About the AI4VET Project
AI4VET is an Erasmus+ project (KA220) in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector, co-funded by the European Union. The project officially began on November 1, 2025, and will last for a total of 24 months.
The main objective of the project is to address key challenges in the European vocational education system, including skills mismatches and the need for inclusive, personalized education. The project aims to empower teachers and learners through the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the establishment of innovative Future Classroom Labs (FCL).
