Last Friday, we had the honor of hosting over 30 members and users of MOZAIK, the Society for Social Inclusion from Slovenia. We provided them with a unique insight into the cultural and natural heritage of Međimurje, a region known as the ‘flower garden of Croatia’. The first item on our agenda was a workshop on sustainability. Utilizing zero waste techniques, we together created beautiful bouquets of paper flowers. With this, we aimed to demonstrate that Međimurje is not only the “flower garden of Croatia”, but also has the potential to become the “flower garden of Europe”. Following the workshop, we visited the interactive museum Treasury of Međimurje, where we delved deeper into the rich history and tradition of our region. We concluded the day at the marina in Prelog, where we enjoyed the natural beauties of the Drava river.
It was a pleasure to hear the positive impressions of our guests. We are very much looking forward to future opportunities for a return visit and further cooperation!
