A multiplier event for the ATTACH project, co-funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ program, has been held. Pučko otvoreno učilište Čakovec participates in the project as one of the partners. The rest of the partner consortium consists of uDevelop e.V. (Germany) as the project applicant and lead partner, and partners Institoyto Koinonikis Kainotomias Kai Synoxis (Greece) and Arista Deka Limited (Cyprus).
The aim of the ATTACH project is the professional development of adult education professionals and educators in local communities to encourage greater civic participation of adult and senior learners, especially those with fewer opportunities.
ATTACH project activities include analyzing educators’ work with regard to the political dimension, designing educational tools to strengthen the potential for civic engagement, using social networks and media to promote social change, and disseminating project results.
The results of the ATTACH project are practical educational tools and professional development opportunities to equip adult educators with strategies to increase civic participation and empower disadvantaged adults to become active citizens and volunteers. The goal is to establish foundations for social change and greater civic participation across the European Union.
Participants of the multiplier event were introduced to the project activities and results, and had the opportunity through interactive lectures and discussions to learn more about this topic, possibilities of application and use of results, as well as materials that will be developed by the end of the project period.
