The Agency for Mobility and Programs of the European Union approved the project “Raising Awareness for a Greener Tomorrow”. The project is aimed at raising awareness of the importance of separation and recycling among adults. The specific goals of the project are:

  • Improve the competencies of andragogic workers in the education of adults in the areas of waste management and other green topics;
  • Create learning opportunities for adult participants in the areas of waste management and other green topics;
  • Encourage cooperation and exchange of knowledge in the areas of waste management and other green topics;
  • Raise awareness and promote sustainable practices in the areas of waste management and other green topics;
  • Develop innovative educational resources and materials on green topics.

 

In order to achieve the set goals, the project brought together a consortium of organizations from three European countries:

  • GKP Čakom (applicant and leading partner) (Croatia);
  • Public Open University Čakovec (Croatia);
  • LU Lendava (Slovenia);
  • Open Civic University “Vanco Prke” (Sj. Macedonia).

 

The value of the project is €60,000.00 and its implementation is planned for autumn.
