On October 26, employees of the Public Open University Čakovec who participated in the Erasmus+ mobility project entitled “Raising Competences: Better Teachers – Better Education”, approved by the Agency for Mobility and Programs of the European Union, and co-financed by the funds of the European Union Erasmus+ program, held a dissemination an event.
The goal of the project and mobility was professional training, gaining new experience, knowledge and insight into working with disadvantaged students, outdoor education and nature, and experiential learning. The participants of the mobility project presented to the gathered the activities in which they participated and the topics covered by them. Some of them are: social and environmental teaching techniques, play-based learning, heritage interpretation techniques, emotion-focused pedagogy, creative outdoor teaching techniques and many more. In order to acquire new skills in working with students of different socioeconomic status and students with special needs, the School team also visited the SOS children’s village in the settlement of El Tablero.
The presenters emphasized the opportunities offered by Erasmus+ and other programs of the European Union, and expressed the wish that the gathered people would get involved in them as much as possible. Mobility was made possible by the Agency for Mobility and Programs of the European Union, while Eduplus, a Spanish organization whose narrow field of work is the promotion and active development of teaching methodology and innovative tools for formal and informal education, is responsible for the organization and implementation of the lectures.
