One of Čakovec’s most beautiful historic buildings is having its original appearance fully restored this year. As part of the ongoing energy renovation works, the façade on the rear, western side of the building has been renovated and thermally insulated, while new plaster has been applied to the southern and eastern sides with permission from the Conservation Department in Varaždin.

Solar panels with a total power of 15 kW have been installed on the rear side of the roof, and thermal insulation of the attic ceiling has also been completed. Furthermore, the joinery has been replaced with 44 new windows and two doors.

The next steps include:

  • Installation of four heat pumps for heating and cooling.
  • Replacement of existing lighting with more efficient LED lamps.
  • Landscaping of the green area around the building.

The energy renovation of the POU Čakovec building includes works that will contribute to a significant reduction in energy consumption and CO2 emissions, as well as an increase in the share of renewable energy sources by as much as 73.32%.

Upon the project’s completion, the building will achieve an energy class of B for annual required heating energy, while its specific annual primary energy use will classify it as A+. The works are being carried out by TEAM GRAĐENJE d.o.o. and its partners.
