When innovative ideas, extensive experience in adult education, and the power of international cooperation come together, the result is the GamifiedEd project!

We are very pleased to share the news that this is the first Erasmus+ project approved in this year’s spring call, achieving the highest score. In the project “GamifiedEd – Gamification in Adult Education,” Pučko otvoreno učilište Čakovec is the applicant and project coordinator. The project was approved by the Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes (AMPEU), with a total budget of €120,000. The project consortium includes partners from four European countries: Žilinská univerzita v Žiline (Slovakia), Kayros Digital Innovation (Spain), Ljudska univerza Lendava (Slovenia), and Pučko otvoreno učilište Čakovec (Croatia).

The project focuses on improving adult education through the application of gamification — methods that incorporate game elements into the educational process — and the use of digital tools. Its goal is to strengthen the competencies of adult education educators and make adult learning more accessible, flexible, and motivating.

Key outcomes to be achieved during the project include a digital handbook with gamification methods, an online platform for creating gamified content, and a practical toolkit that will enable educators to easily and effectively implement gamification in their teaching. All resources will be free of charge and adapted to different knowledge levels and needs of adult learners, without financial barriers. This project responds to the needs of adult education educators identified through research conducted in all four partner countries. Most online gamification tools are available only through paid subscriptions, and there is a clear need and desire among educators for free resources that can be used to prepare teaching materials.

Therefore, our GamifiedEd project is focused on developing completely free, easily accessible, and adaptable gamification tools and materials that will allow educators to innovatively and effectively integrate game elements into their educational programs, without financial or technical obstacles.

The approval of this project is yet another confirmation of our commitment to quality and the modernization of adult education, creating innovative, accessible, and effective educational solutions in line with the needs of today’s society.
