The Erasmus+ project “HER[AI]TAGE: Preserving Intangible Cultural Heritage and Environmental Knowledge Through AI Technology” has been approved, with POU Čakovec participating as a partner.
The HER[AI]TAGE project will connect four partners from Croatia, Slovenia, and Serbia in preserving intangible cultural heritage related to our rivers – Drava, Mura, and Danube. Using artificial intelligence, we will preserve precious stories from our senior citizens (60+) about local ecosystems and waters.
Over 18 months of the project:
- We will collect 60+ stories from senior members of our communities
- Create a digital archive with AI illustrations and audio recordings
- Develop an e-platform for training in AI, green topics, and cultural heritage
- Organize virtual and physical exhibitions
Project partners:
- Kultivator (applicant)
- Public Open University Čakovec (partner)
- HKD Pomurje (partner)
- Novi Sad City Library (partner)
Project value: 60,000 EUR
Duration: February 2025 – July 2026
