This privacy policy (hereinafter: the Policy) clarifies what personal data we collect, how we process it and for what purposes we use it, and includes your rights related to this data. People’s Open University Čakovec, located at the address Kralja Tomislava 52, 40000 Čakovec, OIB: 56770661312 (hereinafter: POU), processes personal data of users of its services and visitors to the website www.pou-cakovec.hr in accordance with the applicable laws that regulate personal data protection. Processing is carried out in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Act on the Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation and the Electronic Communications Act. POU protects your privacy and processes personal data in a fair and legal manner, based on valid legal grounds or your consent.

In this Policy, “personal data” means all information that you submit to us, such as name, surname, contact information, address, date of birth, OIB, occupation, name of the company where you work, etc., either when applying for educational programs or through our website.

 

Data we collect

We collect contact information and other personal data necessary to provide services. Access to the website www.pou-cakovec.hr is free and does not require registration. We collect personal data through web pages, using contact forms, automatically using web cookies, as well as through application forms, record lists of events, based on service contracts and the like.

When we collect your data directly through forms, we inform you of the purpose of the collection, which should be clear from the context, as is the case with forms for specific purposes. We ask for information such as e-mail address, first name, last name, phone number, etc. The information collected for pre-registration or application for educational programs is used exclusively for the formation of groups, and in case of withdrawal, this information is deleted. When you send us your personal data via e-mail or web forms, we use them exclusively to respond to your inquiry. The personal data of participants of the Erasmus+ program is processed in accordance with the GDPR, the Act on the Implementation of the GDPR and the Data Protection Regulation of European Institutions.

Providing personal data is voluntary, and we do not process more data than is necessary. Depending on the circumstances of collection, mandatory data on the forms will be marked with an asterisk (*), while filling in non-mandatory data is optional. We use all collected data for the same purpose and protect them with the same measures as mandatory data.

 

Recipients of personal data

POU forwards your personal data to third parties only in cases prescribed by law or at the justified request of authorized bodies, such as courts or ministries.

 

Protection of your personal data

We store personal data in electronic format and apply appropriate technical, organizational and personnel protection measures. Access to data is limited to employees who need the data to perform their tasks, and we keep it for as long as is required by law.

 

Your rights

At any time, you can request information about the processing of your personal data and exercise the following rights:

  • the right to access data relating to you,
    correction or addition of your personal data so that they are always correct,
    deletion of personal data, if there are no justified reasons for their storage,
    limitation of personal data processing, for example when you dispute the accuracy of the data, until their accuracy is verified,
    withdrawal of consent for data processing.
